The lack of assistance with checking out is getting to be very frustrating.
The manager is walking around, laughing with her employees, while we are 3 and 4 people deep in line.
Chose not to go to Self checkout with over 20 items.
Waiting in line for 5 full min before my turn at the checkout. ? ?

This store is amazing! The staff work hard and work quickly in my observation. The hours are very accommodating to a wide range of customers and their lifestyles. There is almost never a long wait at the registers, and if there is, I see staff working to add cashiers to eliminate the backup. I can always find what I need, but if I have a question there is always someone close by who can help me. Just a great supermarket option for the surrounding area.

This review is in reference to the Granger location near the RR tracks. Martins is the worst grocer I’ve shopped at in my 71 years. I’ve either had to return or pitch several items in the past 60-90 days including moldy cheese not past the x-date and recently purchased (twice), blueberries, luncheon meat, and defective hairspray (also twice). Not to mention having half a dozen employees behind the deli counter most of which are trying to avoid you. I now do most of my of food shopping at Super Target or Whole Foods. Surprisingly, some of the same items stocked at Whole Foods are less expensive while Target stocks the same items at a considerable savings. Ever since Spartanash purchased Martins quality has gone downhill. As mentioned above, I’m referring to this one location but, based on recent experience, have no intention of shopping at their other stores.

I sit in the deli area often and the kids working the register on that side are honestly so annoying. Everytime I’m there, they’re so loud either yelling/talking across the room to each other, or flirting and messing around. They don’t pay any attention to the customer at the register and continue to mess around. I’m not the only one who notices it, as I’ve made eye contact with people before as they shook their head annoyed with what’s going on as well. It’s a nice area to use otherwise.
