I don’t regret trying it, but I probably won’t go back either.

I got a Toscano sandwich. When I placed my order at the counter, the cashier asked for my phone number so that she could call me when my sandwich is ready…an ominous sign. Sure enough, it took a whole 30 minutes for my food to be prepared. Even considering that everything is made fresh, that’s still a lengthy wait for a deli, especially considering that there were only two people ahead of me in the queue. Pick up was also weird…I went to the counter with the “Pick Up” sign hanging over it, but was told to get my food from the counter with the “Order Here” sign hanging over it. Not sure why.

I ate at their premises. They have a small converted garage with some tables, but the ventilation is poor. The taste of the sandwich was very good. The cured meats had an especially robust flavor. However, like most sandwich joints these days, the price is pretty high. At $20+ per sandwich, it definitely won’t become a regular lunch spot for me.

Flew over from Maui to try this place. The staff was extremely friendly even though they were really busy. They took the time to talk with us and share their favorites on the menu. The selection of Italian products is unbelievable. We bought so many great items and a bottle of wine. We had 2 pizza and 2 sandwiches for the 5 of us. Plenty of food to go around and the flavors were incredible!
I would eat/shop here regularly if we lived on Oahu!

Always been a fan of Chef Donato ❤️ This is the perfect little shop/deli/cafe! Friendly, knowledgeable staff...the best Italian products...fresh, delicious food! Parking can be a bit tough but Bocconcino is worth it! ?

Italy in Hawaii but needs to be in the Bay area! You'd think we'd have something like this but we had to come to Oahu to experience this. Burrata is my favorite and the straciatella on this Bolognese sandwich is perfection! The entire sandwich is perfection! From my the pistachio crema, to the mortadella, to the crunch of the bread! Flavors and textures all married together in each bite. The pizza and flatbread were good too, but honestly all you need is the Bolognese! The meats are sliced to order and the quality of all their ingredients are top tier and it shows!

The shop itself is a marketplace of Italian goods from pannetone, to truffle everything, to pastas, and seasonings. Peruse the market while you wait for your order.

I love that they are a family owned business too. Their daughters were working hard behind the order counter as was owner/Dad. The wait times can be long so pack your patience bc not only will it be worth it, but everyone in there is hustling to get orders out and with a smile.

We wanted to order some for the day we were flying home to eat on the plane, but they are closed that day! I WISH it were possible for them to ship to the mainland!

This was delicious! It's also a very clean, cute shop. And the staff are all really nice.

I got the Salsiccia & Porcini mushroom pizza. I'm not sure if it was the olive oil, the bread, or the base sauce, but even without the toppings it would've been the most flavorful pizza I've had. And I loved the toppings. The cheese choice for each meal was so delicious and everything was cooked just right.

The size of the items are hard to tell from the photos but it's big enough to share with another person. But we each got our own so we could try as much of the menu as possible!

If they have the cremini caffe when you go, you gotta try it too. It's really creamy, the coffee flavor isn't too strong, and the sweetness is just right. Plus, it was so refreshing on a hot day like today.

Excellent Italian sandwich/pizza shop. Staff is always warm and inviting. The food is always top notch. Hard to beat the combo of fresh mozzarella and homemade bread. They have a wide variety of Italian treat. Highlights are a varied wine selection, pistachio spread, and a wide variety of pasta. They have espresso, beer, bottled cocktails, and Italian soda to drink on premises. Most items are $20~ dollars but are large, easily shared by two people. This makes it about $10 a person which is a steal on the island. A true gem and a unique spot for Honolulu!

Bocconcino in Hawaii is a gem for authentic Italian cuisine lovers. Their paninis and pizza, bursting with flavor, remind me of Italy. The grocery section is impressive, offering genuine Italian breads and freshly made mozzarella. It's like a little slice of Italy right in Hawaii. Highly recommend for a true Italian taste experience!

Only on east coast have I seen a place like this! Finally thank you god! Hawaii has a real Italian deli and pizza place! I was even too excited to get pics! I had a sandwich and a pizza both were amazing!
