Atrocious customer service .atrocious staff and management. You have to ask to be served.not so much as a hi or goodbye from anyone .expect to be stared down even if you are a loyal paying customer . No manners .no class .but most of all sainsburys you have no security for your poor staff who have to triple up their jobs (serving ,stacking shelves and monitoring customers ,),.I've witnessed non security staff chasing after thief's. The shops staff are rude .but maybe because they are overworked by the lack of foresight from inadequate and extremely rude management staff .dear o dear

Staff all rude .managers especially .you have to ask to be served which is clearly managers fault , and awful customer service . they are demanding staff double up on jobs and I'd imagine very easy to steal with no staff near front of shop .regularly see people walking in n out with paying or getting noticed .and zero security .staff sigh when you ask to get booze cleared or ask for help in general .they dont even respond if you say hi or thanks. By far the worst managed and staffed Sainsbury's in Edinburgh .
And not one friendly face for the lonely people in that area that may only see a shop worker that day . Hold your head in shame Sainsbury's .but most of all managers should get the boot for their inadequacies. Dear o dear

This was quite an OK local supermarket but they have decided to devote the majority of shelf space to
Biscuits
soft drinks Crisps
convenience foods
Much less space for healthy quality products
Ah well just need to shop elsewhere
Sol is a brilliant shop just close by!

Prices on shelves are regularly wrong, They don't remove special offer prices when they are no longer valid. Not enough staff to help.

Prices are high compared to nearby shops, cost of living increases have exacerbated these significant price rises, regularly no eggs or milk for some reason. coffee machine regularly doesn’t work due to unfilled milk. Also bakery is so inconsistent. no staff are up front so waits for kiosk or IDs take very long, probably due to corporate deliberately understaffing. Consistently ID’d for red bull even though clearly over 25. I now walk to the local Tesco even though this Sainsbury's is closer.

We moved to area in Feb and staff very friendly, most happily chat away etc. This is our local and had everything need from a local shop. For bigger shops we get a delivery.
